Paninaro Collection

The Paninaro subculture emerged in early 1980s Milan as a youth movement centred around fashion, consumerism, and a glamorous vision of Western lifestyle.

Named after the sandwich bars where they gathered, the Paninari embraced designer clothing, especially brands like Armani, Moncler, C.P. Company, Levi’s, and Timberland, along with stylish scooters and an obsession with American pop culture.

Rejecting political activism that defined earlier generations, they prioritized personal image, status symbols, and a carefree, materialistic attitude. Although originally a local scene specific to Milan, the Paninaro aesthetic spread across Italy and Europe, influencing fashion trends and leaving a lasting imprint on youth culture of the decade.
